At GEMINIS we have always been committed to people and gender equality. In order to continue to meet the current demands and needs of society in the right way, we have seen fit to use our Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) to implement a plan to start breaking down gender barriers and stereotypes. We propose a new strategy to promote an inclusive corporate culture and raise awareness among all members of the organization.
General objectives of the new General Equality Plan
The new GEMINIS plan aims to establish a new philosophy on parity and stereotypes in the workplace. To this end, it will promote a new corporate culture that ensures compliance with effective equality and incorporates it into its strategy. The aim is to raise awareness and sensitize all the company's personnel in this area. Likewise, we will guarantee the principle of Equal Remuneration, a fundamental right that allows the comparison of salaries between workers of different sexes who work in different departments of the same company.
Recent studies indicate that only 41% of employees can positively reconcile work and family life. The new General Equality Plan also addresses this current problem and proposes to facilitate the reconciliation of personal, family and work life for the company's employees.
Likewise, in order to put an end to the use of gender stereotypes, we will work to ensure that internal and external communication is inclusive. The Plan also includes the prevention of sexual harassment based on gender in the workplace.
Steps to be taken in future action plans
In addition, within these general purposes there are several specific objectives that will be carried out in various action plans. One of them will be to guarantee parity of treatment and opportunities in the selection processes, eliminating possible cases of horizontal and vertical segregation.
Actions and initiatives will be developed to raise awareness and train the workforce in equal opportunities. As well as ensuring the access of male and female workers to all training provided by the company, ensuring knowledge of the training plan, its actions and access criteria. Likewise, women and men will enjoy the same treatment and opportunities in promotions.
The application of the aforementioned principle of Equal Remuneration will be guaranteed in the case where two workers of different sexes perform work of equal value. Finally, the Equality Plan will guarantee the exercise of the rights of conciliation, informing about them and making them accessible to all the staff.
