GEMINIS, together with the Basque Government and the European Union, develops a new boring machine that is a leader in the railways sector due to its high productivity.

GEMINIS has developed a new high productivity boring machine for the machining of railroad wheel hubs. This innovative project, known as GR3-W HP, has been co-funded by the Basque Government and the European Union within the Hazitek program aimed at the development of new products, processes and services.

A new boring machine to optimize machining processes in the railroad sector

At GEMINIS we have been using the latest technology for years to develop equipment specially designed for the machining and reprofiling of wheels, axles and axle-wheel assemblies. We are specialized in the design and manufacture of equipment for the railroad, supporting and offering support to railway operators, maintenance workshops, manufacturers and other agents in the value chain.

The new boring machine, the GR3-W HP, has been designed to optimize the machining processes of railroad wheel hubs. It features the latest technology in cutting tools and control systems, which guarantees maximum precision and efficiency in the production process. In addition, its high productivity allows the company to increase its production capacity and improve the quality of its products.

The importance of public-private partnerships

The GR3-W HP project has been made possible thanks to the collaboration between GEMINIS, the Basque Government and the European Union, which have joined forces to promote innovation and technological development in the industrial sector. This initiative is part of the aid program to support business R&D Hazitek, which aims to promote the competitiveness of Basque companies through innovation and improvement of their processes and products.
